Sears, the leading retailer of ENERGY STAR-qualified appliances, is honoring Earth Day (April 22) by offering its customers an additional 10% off Kenmore Elite ENERGY STAR-qualified appliances - on top of existing promotional prices each Monday throughout the month of April.
"We've listened to our customers, who are under pressure in society to make a green choice," said Kevin Brown, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Home Appliances for Sears Holdings. "At the same time, our customers face increasing economic pressures. Choosing energy-efficient appliances makes financial sense because of the significant savings in both water and energy," Brown added. "Green Mondays make it easier to make a green choice with the nation's number one brand of energy-efficient appliances - Kenmore.

Green Mondays is one more example of Sears' commitment to increase customer awareness of the financial and environmental benefits of using energy efficient appliances. Sears has also made shopping for green products even easier. In March 2009, Sears launched the online ENERGY STAR Rebate Center -- a program to help educate Americans about the millions of dollars in rebates that are available for ENERGY STAR-rated products and make it faster to receive these rebates.
Sears Blue Appliance Crew walks customers through the rebate process online for ENERGY STAR-qualified purchases while in the store, eliminating the need to take tear pad sheets home and mail in their rebates, thus putting time back in customer's busy schedules and enabling them to receive their rebates sooner.
