Sears.com leads clicks and bricks department stores in July, based on the number of unique visitors to the e-commerce site for Sears, Roebuck and Co. (NYSE: S). Media Metrix, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMXI), the leader and pioneer in Internet and Digital Media measurement worldwide, reports that in July, sears.com leads the "department store" retail category by attracting 2.475 million unique visitors, followed by JCPenney.com with 2.242 million and Walmart.com with 1.477 million.
"The number of unique visitors to sears.com has grown steadily this year and is nearly at the same level as the peak Holiday shopping traffic we experienced in December," said Dennis Honan, vice president and general manager of Sears Online.
