Phoenix-area residents will get another look at the latest in home decorating and remodeling when The Great Indoors opens in Chandler in the summer of 2001.
The Chandler store is The Great Indoors' second store in the Phoenix market. The first store opened in Scottsdale in November 1999.
"By opening a second store in Phoenix, we are able to broaden our reach in the marketplace to better serve the customer," said Bob Rodgers, president of The Great Indoors. "The Great Indoors is all about style, selection, value and convenience and that's what customers in the Chandler area can expect when the new store opens this summer."
The Great Indoors is organized around the four main rooms of the home -- kitchen, bath, bedroom and the great room with a fifth area devoted to floors and walls. The new store will showcase approximately 75 lifestyle vignettes with more than 50,000 items to help customers visualize solutions for their own rooms. Customers also will find a vast assortment of well-known brands at the store including Bosch, Bose, Calphalon, Corian, Croscill, Karastan, KitchenAid, Kohler, Thermador and Waverly.
The Chandler store will be approximately 133,000 square feet and employ nearly 300 people.
The Great Indoors debuted in 1998, opening its first store in the Denver area. The Great Indoors is a unit of Sears, Roebuck and Co. For more information about The Great Indoors, visit http://www.thegreatindoors.com/ .
