Sears Auto Centers Offer Free Tire Inspections
Tire Pressure and Safety Checks
Sears Auto Centers are offering free tire safety checks just in time for the long holiday weekend. Improperly inflated or worn tires can impair a vehicle's ride and handling and can lead to premature tire failure. Sears is offering to inspect tires and check the air pressure at no charge when customers visit their local Sears Automotive Center.
"Most people don't think twice about their tires after they purchase them," said Bill White, president of Sears Automotive Group. "Yet those four tires are all that keeps you safely in contact with the road. No matter how good your tires are or what brand they are, a periodic check of the air pressure and inspection of how the tires are wearing is highly recommended."
Sears trained tire experts will explain how to identify the proper inflation pressure for your brand of tire and vehicle. They will then check the pressure on the tires and properly inflate them. If signs of dangerous wear are present they will also point that out and explain how adjustments in alignment can prolong the life of your tires.
"We're focused on fast, expert service, so customers can expect to be in and out very quickly," said White.
