Kmart Keeps Doors Open 110 Hours Through Christmas Eve

Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) today announced that last-minute shoppers can complete their holiday shopping on time this year at Kmart stores across the country. All Kmart stores will keep their doors open for 110 hours straight beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 and continuing through Monday, Dec. 24 at 8 p.m.* Stores will be closed on Christmas Day and reopen at 6 a.m. on Dec. 26.

This is the second year Kmart has extended its hours for the busy holiday season. Last year all stores were open for 86 hours straight, beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. This year, Kmart stores also extended hours over the Thanksgiving weekend, keeping stores open for 66 hours straight beginning Friday, Nov. 23 at 5 a.m. through Sunday, Nov. 25 at 11 p.m.

During the 110-hour sale, customers will find great gifts up to the last second such as:

  *  70 percent off all fine and precious jewelry
  *  50 percent off all men's Route 66 fleece
  *  25-40 percent off holiday home fashions and dinnerware
  *  30 percent off all men's active wear
  *  Two for $1 Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars
