A selection of Lands' End's best-selling women's, men's and kids' apparel and footwear will begin to roll out to more than 180 Sears stores late this fall.
Currently, select stores in 10 markets including Chicago; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Boston; New York; Philadelphia; Hartford, Conn.; Madison, Wis.; Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. are scheduled to offer Lands' End merchandise this fall. Approximately 15 to 20 percent of the stores' apparel selling space will carry Lands' End product, which will be supported by local broadcast advertising and direct marketing efforts. Full roll out to remaining Sears stores will continue through 2003.
This release contains "forward-looking statements" about the roll out of Lands' End products to Sears stores. These statements are based on assumptions about the future that are subject to risks and uncertainties, such as competitive conditions in retail; changes in consumer confidence and spending; the successful execution of and customer reactions to Sears' Full- line store strategy and other performance improvement initiatives; Sears' ability to integrate and operate Lands' End successfully; anticipated cash flow; general economic conditions and normal business uncertainty. Actual results may differ materially. The company intends these forward-looking statements to speak only as of the time of this presentation and does not undertake to update or revise them as more information becomes available.
