Lands' End Debuts at All 870 Sears Full-Line Stores
Now Three Easy Ways to Shop for Classic, Quality Apparel
Great news for fans of the classic, quality apparel and merchandise from popular retailer Lands' End. Beginning this month, shoppers have three convenient ways to shop for many of their favorite products from Lands' End -- direct from the catalog, at landsend.com and now at 870 Sears stores nationwide.
"Sales of Lands' End apparel for men, women and children have been strong in the 401 Sears stores carrying the brand this spring," said Mindy Meads, executive vice president of apparel for Sears, Roebuck and Co. "In fact, comparable sales for apparel in stores carrying the Lands' End brand were 2-4 percent better than those without. And, sales of Covington, our new classic brand introduced in September 2002, also increased. The integration of Lands' End into Sears has been very successful, and this is only the beginning."
Sears purchased Lands' End in June 2002, and introduced merchandise to 183 stores in 10 markets five months later. In March 2003, 217 stores were added, and the roll-out to Sears' 870 full-line stores coast-to-coast will be complete by late August.
Lands' End best-selling merchandise available at Sears for the entire family includes high-quality footwear, legendary jackets, full-fashioned sweaters, ever-popular khakis, button-down shirts, lush corduroys, tailored trousers, seamless turtlenecks, active wear, bedding and more.
