Just in time for holiday shopping, Sears (NYSE: S) today announced its newest and most personal gift card design for the season ... a gift card that doubles as a picture frame.
Sears' exclusive gift card design is capitalizing on the 74.3 percent of consumers who will purchase a gift card during the holidays this year, according to a National Retail Federation survey, by launching a photo frame design that encourages personalization. Consumers can customize the card by inserting a family portrait or a picture of the gift intended for the recipient.
"Sears continues to be a leader in the growing gift card industry by offering more innovative alternatives to the standard gift card," said Bill Kiss, vice president and general manager Sears Promotions, LLC. "The Sears photo frame, in addition to other novelty designs for the holidays, offers customers a more personal option for this great gift."
Sears gift cards can be purchased in increments of $5-$500 and can be redeemed at all Sears store locations, which carry brands including Die Hard, Kenmore, Lands' End and Craftsman. There are no fees or expiration dates.
