In response to Wal-Mart's statement today about shipping online purchases to stores, Sears reiterated support for its five-minute guarantee, which offers customers who purchase a variety of available merchandise on sears.com guaranteed five-minute in-store pick-up. Sears has been offering customers the ability to buy online and pick-up in-store for more than five years.
Customers shopping online at sears.com can choose the five-minute in-store pick-up option for a number of products in a number of product categories (where available) including home appliances, electronics and lawn and garden. Customers choosing to pick up their online orders at their nearby Sears will receive a $5 coupon if their waiting time exceeds five minutes.
