It's time to shop! To kick off the return of the holiday shopping season and to commemorate the return of the Sears Wish Book™ Catalog, Sears, Roebuck and Co. will bring to life the pages of this beloved holiday tradition.
On November 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Times Square (Military Island, Broadway at 44th St.), New York City, people can experience first-hand the larger-than-life pages of this iconic catalog. Television personality -- and Sears' Master Wish Maker -- Ty Pennington will be on-site on November 19, welcoming shoppers and leading a team of "Wish Makers" who will be deployed throughout the city and five other markets to help bring the pages of the Wish Book Catalog to life.
"With the return of the beloved Wish Book, instead of just giving gifts this holiday season, we're making it possible for everyone to grant wishes in both big and small ways," said Richard Gerstein, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Sears.
The November 19 event will be much more than a tribute to nostalgic memories of the Wish Book Catalog.
-- Shoppers can preview featured holiday items at kiosks stationed next to the larger-than-life book. The new Sears Wish Book Catalog features 188 pages of gifts for everyone, and the event will enable visitors to experience the latest products from major brands such as Panasonic, Kenmore and Craftsman. -- Shoppers can sign up to receive notification of "Wishing Hours" -- specially announced times for limited-time-only deals throughout the season or to receive a catalog. -- Customers also will get a special glimpse back in time by viewing vintage Wish Book Catalogs.
