Golden Trumpet Awards - 2011

Both Kmart and Kenmore recently won Golden Trumpet awards from the Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC). Kmart received the PCC's Golden Trumpet award for the "Share the Word" Black History Month program. Utilizing social media and in-store events, the program encouraged African-American women to nurture their own beauty, inside and out.

Kenmore also received a Golden Trumpet award for the "Kenmore Baking for the Troops" campaign, which encouraged Americans to ask Kenmore to send dozens of cookies to our servicemen and women with personal messages on their behalf. Conducted via Kenmore's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kenmore), the campaign reached its goal of a quarter million cookies in just two weeks, garnered more than 30,000 new brand Facebook fans and received hundreds of heartwarming thanks from service member families, military personnel and caring Americans.
