Sears to Webcast Fourth Quarter Earnings Conference Call

Sears, Roebuck and Co. (NYSE: S) has scheduled its fourth quarter 2004 earnings conference call for 10:30 a.m. ET/9:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, January 27.

The conference call will be webcast live over the Internet at http://www.sears.com/investors . From the Investor Relations page, select "Presentations & Audio Archives." The webcast will be archived and available on the company's website at http://www.sears.com/investors , also under "Presentations & Audio Archives."

Due to ongoing regulatory reviews and merger integration planning in connection with the proposed merger of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Kmart Holding Corporation, which is still subject to the receipt of shareholder and regulatory approvals and the satisfaction or waiver of other customary closing conditions, the company will not be providing commentary about its earnings expectations for 2005 or a question-and-answer session at the conclusion of this conference call.
